WagerWard ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Email Detox tool and other services at wagerward.com.
We designed WagerWard with privacy as a core principle. We access only the minimum data necessary to help you identify and remove gambling-related emails from your inbox.
When you connect your Gmail account, we request the following permissions (OAuth scopes):
Purpose: To scan your inbox and identify emails from gambling operators.
What we read: Email sender addresses, subject lines, and Gmail's snippet preview (first ~200 characters). We do not read full email body content or attachments.
Purpose: To move identified gambling emails to Trash when you explicitly request cleanup.
What we modify: Only emails you select for deletion. No automatic actions occur without your consent.
Purpose: To create labels for organizing detected emails (optional feature).
What we access: Label names and IDs only.
Purpose: To create Gmail filters that automatically block future emails from gambling senders you clean up.
What we do: When you clean up emails with "Block future emails" enabled, we create Gmail filters to auto-trash future messages from those senders.
Reversible: These filters can be removed through WagerWard (by restoring emails) or directly in Gmail Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses.
We do NOT use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to the Email Detox service.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you.
We use the following third-party services:
